Hi Friends 🙂
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted here – probably a combination of a few things really.
Summer in our house is valued a great deal, especially since we moved to Hamburg – where Summer can range from a few weeks – to a few days! This year, Summer was an interesting mix of humidity, sunshine and lots of rain – but it was on those sunny days I felt the need to be out and about! Gee it’s nice to leave the house in nothing more than a cardie and sandals!
I travelled this Summer more than I have any other Summer I think – 6 countries this year so far and counting. If you know me at all, that means lots and lots of clicks on my camera – which means lots and lots of downloading, sorting, editing, deleting and more sorting – which I am still getting through – so please stay tuned for some Look Back posts about moments in NYC & Rovinj, Croatia – two amazing cities!!
We also adopted a gorgeous little kitten – who of course has also taken up a lot of my time of late – of which, I am not complaining. She makes me laugh and smile everyday and I treasure her morning cuddles. We have managed to get into a pretty good routine together, which will me help this Autumn to get back into the studio a little more often.
Some how in between all these lovely happenings, some new Monkies and Monsters were made & photographed – which I’d love to share with you.
As you can see – it’s been a VERY colourful time! These are some of my best yet and I’m so happy with how they turned out. There are also some of my biggest – so if you’re looking for some big monkey cuddles – Betty, Wilson and Wesley are for you! Some very cute Egg Head Monsters and Tooth Monsters were finished this month too – some of which were for very special custom orders. I find it so lovely to receive a message with specific requirements and then managing to make their wishes a reality. Such a rewarding process, which I feel keeps creative makers like me ticking.
To be able to create something that didn’t exist before, featuring specific parameters that have been dreamt up by clients, is a gift to any kind of artist. So big thanks goes out to my lovely customers – it’s been such a pleasure to work with you all.
