What a city!
Located just a hop, skip and a jump for us from Hamburg, Copenhagen is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve seen! Even though it’s cold, cold April, the sunshine on our backs and faces has helped not only to keep us a little warmer, but to see this beautiful city in all it’s colourful glory!
A little like Amsterdam, it’s picturesque cobble-stoned streets, dotted with canals, makes you feel like you’re in a storybook, as you wander around town. I had to make a conscience effort to put my camera down, in order to make sure I was taking it all in – and not just through the lens – which would be very easy to do. So many photo opportunities, so many around every turn.
Clive had a fantastic time posing for me as we went, which you can see from photos above. A highlight was a recommendation we were given to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, located about an hour north of Copenhagen, with spectacular views across the Øresund. Think Picasso, Giacometti, Dubuffet, Yves Klein, Andy Warhol, Rauschenberg, Henry Moore, Louise Bourgeois, Philip Guston, Morris Louis, Jorn, Baselitz, Polke, Kiefer, and Per Kirkeby – just to name a few. What a feast! Still not sure if you should visit? Check out the video below….
We’ll definitely be back Copenhagen! Thanks for an amazing time.
